From pop to rock to experimental to just plain bizarre, Canadian outfit Suuns’ debut full-length is quite the experience to say the least. The album’s 10 tracks are all over the place but are strung together with threads of dark, mysterious synth-driven rock throughout. “Arena” is a fun, club-friendly dance track that feels quite upbeat—until the vocals begin. Then it’s back to the experimental distortions and wailings that dominate the album. A solid jumping-off point, it’ll be interesting to see what’s next for the band.
