If you make the following recipe—one part ’70s crime-drama keyboards, two parts porno flick bass-lines, a dash of groovy funk guitar riffs, and a glaze of hip shakin’ Latin beats—you have quite possibly the best dance party to come out of Venezuela…Los Amigos Invisibles. After more than a decade of developing their style of music fusion, including three albums released on David Byrne’s label, Luaka Bob, Los Amigos Invisibles make their triumphant return with their new album, Commercial, ending the three-year hiatus since their last studio album was released in the States. Now, with six albums under their belt, the boys let loose and leave everything on the Commercial dancefloor, creating another genre-bending groove train. Minus one or two tracks that fall flat, this album is sure to make you want to lace up those dance shoes and get ready for the party.
