The comic book turned movie Scott Pilgrim Vs. the World features the character Scott Pilgrim (Michael Cera) as the bassist of the band Sex Bob-Omb. Obviously, the movie will be heavy with great music and even better, original music written for Sex Bob-Omb by Beck.
Beck provided the instrumentation and wrote the four Sex Bob-Omb tracks for the soundtrack which will also include new jams from Beck himself, Metric, and Broken Social Scene, who penned and performed each Crash and the Boys track. The album also features songs by T.Rex, the Rolling Stones, and Broken Social Scene (themselves).
The soundtrack drops August 10 via ABKO.
The movie opens August 13.
