Revolver Tour Blog #1: Coming to America (FILTER Exclusive)

Parisian pop-folk trio and 2010 Culture Collide alum, Revolver kicked off their first proper North American Tour last night in Washington, DC, and we're thrilled to be bringing you the band's exclusive tour blog as they document their first trek across America.

In this first edition, we join guitarist Christophe Musset as the band arrives in DC after a long, but educational!, flight stateside. Hi it's Christophe from Revolver

It's our first morning in Washington D.C! It's a little cold but the sky is blue, and our hotel is located on a campus, which is funny. We all slept well thanks to the jetlag, though we woke up very early.

We haven't played a show for the last couple weeks, focusing essentially on writing and recording new demos for the next album, so we're all very excited about tonight's gig! Plus our new EP has just been released, and we're really proud of it.

The only negative point though is that our drummer Maxime has lost his backpack at the airport, and realized it when arriving at the hotel. So after a quick checking-in, instead of hanging around in Georgetown or Adams Morgan as we wanted to (I had been told about these places on the plane by a very nice cello player from Ohio), we went straight back to the airport... but it wasn't there.

Anyways, we ended up in the city center, around the Verizon center, and we finally sat down in a kind of huge bar/restaurant. Once there a good burger and a beer cheered Maxime up!
As Ambroise twitted: « a burger a day keeps the doctor away » !

Oh I almost forgot to say we got the best steward during our flight. His name is Mitch, he's from Hawai and he was just great (especially concerning free wine-refill).

Ok we're gonna have lunch and then go to the venue for the soundcheck. I can't wait for tonight's gig!
