PIN IT TO WIN IT Challenge Returns To Culture Collide 2012
By Staff on September 13, 2012
In case you missed it last year, we hosted the first PIN IT TO WIN IT challenge for all Culture Collide Festival attendees. This year, we're bringing back the outrageously popular international button competition.
Busy Beaver Button Co, have partnered up to bring back another round of the ‘PIN IT TO WIN IT’ international button challenge. Festival attendees will be on the hunt to collect a button from each of the participating countries and sponsors to win prizes, including vinyl packs from Vagrant and Polyvinyl Records, Asics gift cards and the grand prize: a limited edition Culture Collide bicycle from Venice Beach-based Solé Bicycle Company.
Created by Busy Beaver Button Co. and produced by FILTER, ‘PIN IT TO WIN IT’ returns on Oct. 3 at the Culture Collide festival kick off party in Echo Park. Attendees who have purchased a $20 Culture Collide wristband are eligible to participate in the button competition rallying against other festival attendees to win prizes. For every country and sponsor represented in the festival, Busy Beaver Button Co. and FILTER have created a limited edition button. Buttons can be secured exclusively at festival venues, from bands, and at activations pertaining to each specific country and sponsor.
HOW ‘PIN IT TO WIN IT’ WORKS:
Festival goers will begin their hunt for buttons at Taix in Echo Park beginning Oct. 3 during the Culture Collide kick off party. Throughout the festival, Oct. 4-7, a button from every country represented, as well as Culture Collide partner buttons, can be collected at all festival venues, in order to be eligible to win prizes. Participants can place their buttons on their own clothing or their bags and purses, the more flair the better. The first person to show their full ‘PIN IT TO WIN IT’ international button collection will have their choice of prizing so don't delay on the collecting, the sooner you get them all, the better your prizing will be!
The buttons must be presented to contest staff members at the FILTER merchandise booth at the block party on Sunday, Oct. 7 to redeem prizes.
