Painting The Town Neon With The Ting Tings

There is an uber famous saying about "painting the town red".  After Saturday night in Hollywood, I'd like to petition to get the line changed to "painting the town neon", thanks in large part to The Ting Tings and adidas Originals.

The international streetwear brand and the UK dynamic duo teamed up to celebrate originality and self-expression via an invitation only "paint party".  Party patrons were given brand new adidas black track suits and invaded Hollywood Underground for a night of neon colored mayhem.

Our adventure kicked off with a 20 dollar cab ride and picking out track suits next to Perez Hilton.  Once properly outfitted and through the velvet curtain, laid the promised land - a club completely painted black with hundreds of squeeze bottles of paint at your disposal.

There of course remains no etiquette when it comes to throwing paint at strangers, your friends and a band with an iPod commercial and a few number one UK accolades already on their resume.  It was intensely slippery, occasionally feisty (paint in your eyes brings out either the best or the worst in some folks) and ultimately one of the best parties that I have ever had the pleasure to attend.

In case you were wondering, it took two rounds in the shower to completely de-neonify myself and the iconic three stripes down my track suit are now a glowing pastel hue.
