OBSESSIVE COMPULSIONS: FILTER’s Weekly Picks Featuring George Harrison, Neptune’s Net And More

FILTER likes music. There's no hiding it. We also like our own opinions a whole bunch, so once a week we give the masses a fleeting glimpse into our selective stereos and Internet browsers to let them see firsthand what fuels our endless devotion. We like to think of it as community service. We're selfless like that. So without further ado, here are the official, inarguable, objectively good FILTER Weekly Picks—providing everything from new LPs you should be spinning to the latest good-fer-you videos. Yeah, we're good at what we do:

Neptune's Net

Why: Go on and get you some fried scallops and bottled beer at this PCH Malibu staple. -- Pat McGuire

Blackberry

Why: I cant wait any longer #backberry -- Alan Miller

Goats Yelling Like Humans

Why: Two minutes of goats yelling like humans. How can you not be obsessed with this? -- Monique Gilbert

George Harrison

Why: George Harrison wasn't just a Beatle. He's the inventor of the benefit concert (The Concert for Bangladesh), a supergroup organizer (The Traveling Wilburys), a film producer (Life of Brian, Withnail and I), a ukelele aficionado, a slide guitar master, a FILTER cover star. He put out arguably the best post-Beatles work by a Beatle (All Things Must Pass), so it's impossible to pick just one thing that represents his tremendous body of work. "The Quiet One" would have been 70 today, and I'll be celebrating. -- Wes Martin

The Reflections -- "Disconnected" (Gardens and Villa Remix)

Why: I'm excited about this new band in general, but add a Gardens and Villa remix and I'm obsessed. -- Angelica Corona

"Doctor Who"

Why: My nerdiest obsession just got some exciting "Doctor Who" news this weekend! BBC America finally announced the start date for the eleventh doctor's new season and though Clara is no Amy and Rory, I'm still anxiously counting down to March 30! - Jacklyn Arding

Kodaline -- "All I Want"

Why: Hard to watch the video without it wondering who hasn't felt like this poor guy. -- Mike Bell

Quvenzhané Wallis

Why: She carried Beasts of the Southern Wild and she was nominated for an Oscar. Plus she is absolutely adorable! -- Bailey Pennick
