NEWS: Steve Keene Named Artist-in-Residence for Brooklyn Public Library
By Staff on May 5, 2014
Steve Keene (known for creating original album artwork and promotional posters for musical artists like Pavement, Josh Rouse and Silver Jews) has just been named 2014's Artist-in-Residence at the Brooklyn Public Library (the second artist to earn this title) and is prepping for the summer exhibition where he will feature his newest work and host weekly painting performances on Grand Army Plaza. Keene's residency, running June 12 to August 29, will pay homage to his Brooklyn home. We're already considering booking flights out to NYC just so we can see his work in action.
