Continuing in the spirit of charitable music, Metric contrtibutes "Gold Guns Girls" (Mike Shinoda Remix), joining Linkin Park, Dave Matthews Band, Alanis Morissette, Slash, The All-American Rejects, Hoobastank, Kenna, Enrique Iglesias, Lupe Fiasco, Jack Johnson, Weezer, and The Crystal Method in teaming up with Music for Relief and the Download To Donate campaign to aid earthquake victims. 100% of funds received will go directly to the Haiti efforts. Music for Relief has already raised over $150,000 to help Haiti.
In partnership with the UN Foundation's Central Emergency Response Fund, Habitat for Humanity, and Dave Matthews Band's BAMA Works Haitian relief effort, Music for Relief is working to provide immediate aid with food, water, and emergency medial supplies, and long-term sustainable housing solutions for the people affected by this catastrophic natural disaster in Haiti.
The album is available for free download, but please don't forget to donate after you download. Download the 13 track compilation and then decide how much you would like to donate to help Haiti.
In continued support of Fantasies, Metric announces a short run of headlining dates this March on the west coast. This summer, Metric will tour as part of the traveling Lilith Festival, which will make stops nationwide. Other participating acts include Mary J. Blige, Norah Jones, Tegan & Sara, Sheryl Crow, and many more.
