LOOK: The Antlers Announce EP Release, “Undersea”

When Hospice first arrived on the scene back in ’09, it was fresh, unique, and incredibly depressing.  Fans and critics weren’t sure what to expect from the band’s follow-up—after all, even the most self-inflicting persons have their limits, and listening to Hospice sure is a self-inflicting experience.  But the band arrived anew with Burst Apart, a collection of widely varied tracks that both reflected and demolished their previous sound.  Now they are back again with a four-track EP entitled Undersea, set to release on July 24, and it seems like The Antlers are preparing for their next subtle step forward:

Undersea is the feeling of suspension- memories suspended in time and space, energy suspended in the air around us…It’s both the comfort of knowing that some questions have no answers, and the torment that we’re never meant to know the truth.”

Sounds good to us.

Undersea track listing:

1. Drift Dive
2. Endless Ladder
3. Crest
4. Zelda

(play them in the right order and you'll warp straight to Lake Hylia)
