LOOK: Ringo Starr Holds a Town Hall Meeting Before Release

As the crowd of baby boomers filed into the Troubadour in West Hollywood on Monday afternoon for the Ringo Starr  SiriusXM sponsored 'Town Hall', host Russell Brand had one explicit instruction for those in attendance: “This day is to honor Ringo and is meant for relentless ejaculation.”

Kidding aside, a bunch of lucky fans had the opportunity to ask the former Beatle questions in an organized, orderly fashion. The event was in conjunction with the impending release of Starr’s latest solo effort, Ringo 2012.

Both Brand and producer Don Was shared laughs, memories and awkward moments with one of the last remaining members of the Fab Four. Some of the better questions asked who was Ringo’s favorite outside Beatle contributor (he said all of them), was he at peace with the band’s last concert (he was, though originally they had bigger aspirations) and if he thought the band would succeed in the current tumultuous state of the music biz today (he thought so because the band would have adapted with technology).

Fans came from places as close as Malibu to as far as Parsippany, New Jersey. After the Q&A session was done, audience members were treated to a five-song live set by Starr, his band and guest guitarist Joe Walsh of Eagles-fame. Here’s the set list:

It Don’t Come Easy
I Wanna Be Your Man
Wings w/Joe Walsh
With A Little Help From Your Friends w/Joe Walsh, Don Was (Russell Brand already left, but was invited as well)
Act Naturally
