LOOK: Johnny Marr (Smiths) Teams With Fender For Signature Jaguar

Fender is not only known as one of the world's leading guitar manufacturers, but they also have quite the knack for creating some of the best signature lines for artists. From Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck and Thurston Moore to Kurt Cobain, Jim Adkins (Jimmy Eat World) and now Johnny Marr (Smiths, The The, the Pretenders and more).

The Johnny Marr signature Jaguar gives you the opportunity to have that unmistakable ringing and jangling that has made Marr's sound such a U.K. pop staple. The Jaguar comes in Olympic White (shown) and Metallic KO and it features a custom neck shape based on Marr's '65 Jaguar. 22, vintage styles frets and a lacquer finish round out the Maple neck. The part that gives you the true Marr sound is the pickups including a custom wound bareknuckle Johnny Marr bridge pickup and a custom wound bareknuckle Johnny Marr neck pickup.

Check out the video below of Marr talking about why the Jaguar fit him the best.

Getting that Johnny Marr tone doesn't come cheap though with an MSRP set at $2,419.99. This price will surely go down when it is finally released. Until then, save your pennies.
