LOOK: In Typical Awesome Fashion, The Flaming Lips Are Attempting To Set a Guinness World Record

What else could Wayne Coyne do to further secure The Flaming Lips as today’s most insane and extravagant rock band? Try to set a Guinness World Record, of course, as the band to play the most cities in a 24-hour period (the previous record is held by Jay-Z). 

The O Music Awards will be streaming the entire event live as the band tours through eight cities, which are listed below. Each show will also feature a different supporting act at each location, which include 
Gary Clark Jr., Neon Indian, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, Grimes, Hunter Hayes, GIVERS, New Fumes, among others. Coyne also just tweeted a tour poster he made for the show series:
