2007's Let's Stay Friends was the last effort by Brooklyn's post-hardcore/spazz-punk group Les Savy Fav. Since then they have been bringing their intense and sweaty shows all over the country, and apparently, recording an album in bits and pieces. It has finally been announced that a release for Root For Ruin is on the horizon.
Bassist Sid Butler has said "it somehow captures all the best parts of Les Savy Fav" and it will sound more like "mid-1990s indie bands."
Root for Ruin drops September 14 on Butler's Frenchkiss label and on September 13 in the UK on Wichita.
Track List:
Appetites
Dirty Knails
Sleepless in Silverlake
Let's Get Out of Here
Lips n' Stuff
Poltergeist
High and Unhinged
Excess Engergies
Dear Crutches
Calm Down
Clear Spirits
