FRESH MEAT: Xiu Xiu Gain New Members, Plan New Album

Unexplainable art-rock/poppers, Xiu Xiu, are making new tunes with some help of two new members.

Zac Pennington (Parenthetical Girls) and Sam Mickens (The Dead Science) have joined the Xiu Xiu camp and are assisting in the musical and lyrical writing process.

Already, the new line-up is planning to release a 7" with a new tune, "Daphney," and a cover of Rihanna's "Only Girl in the World."

As of now, Xiu Xiu is looking at a early 2012 release date for their follow-up to 2010's Dear God, I Hate Myself.

There are also tour plans in the works for this fall, so keep your eyes peeled!
