FILTER’s Top 5 Stories of The Week Featuring The Postal Service + More (In Case You Missed It)

Sometimes you just can't bring yourself to read every single thing that goes up on the internet. Who has time to go through all of those cat gifs and youtube comments besides us? Don't worry, we get it, and we want to help!

Here for your weekend round-up reading pleasure are the top stories that FILTER had to offer this past week in a delicious bite-size format. Dig in!

1. FILTER TO TAKE OVER RAINEY STREET: We're planning on taking over the world, and it starts with Rainey Street! We will be at SXSW this year for a full blown take over of Austin's Rainy Street District! Are you excited? We are!

2. THE POSTAL SERVICE ANNOUNCES SPRING TOUR WITH JENNY LEWIS: As if the news that The Postal Service is going to be playing Coachella wasn't music to our ears already, we were ecstatic to find out that they have also set their first headlining tour after a decade with former Rilo Kiley frontwoman Jenny Lewis!

3. SHOUT OUT LOUDS RELEASE NEW TRACK "ILLUSIONS": It looks as though the Shout Out Louds have stayed pretty consistent with their theme for their new album Optica, and their new track Illusions is no different. The bouncy disco beat track will definitely keep you entertained for 4 minutes and 53 seconds, but don't blame us if you find yourself repeating the song again and again.

4. WIN A FREE COPY OF JIM JAMES' SOLO DEBUT ON VINYL: We're very excited for My Morning Jacket's frontman Jim James' solo debut Regions Of Light and Sound Of God, and we're glad to share our excitement with you! Make sure to sign up here to be entered in the drawing to win his debut album on vinyl!

5. MATT POND RELEASES NEW VIDEO FOR "STARLET": For four minutes, you can enjoy Matt Pond serenade us in his new video for "Starlet", which was recorded at Converse Rubber Tracks Studio in Brooklyn. The track is off of his new album The Lives Inside The Lines In Your Hand, that we had been anxiously waiting for, and now is out for everyone to enjoy!
