FILTER’s Top 10 of 2009, Day 6: Owen Pallett of Final Fantasy

We at FILTER love 2009 and probably still have our neon plastic New Year’s sunglasses from this past January hiding in the office somewhere. Alas, all things must come to a close, so in the little time that we have left in 2009, we’ve been celebrating the year with our favorite artists' Top 10 albums of 2009 lists.

Joining us today is classically trained violinist-turned-eccentic indie genius Owen Pallett. Although Pallett has been composing since the age of 13, his solo project debuted in 2005 under the moniker Final Fantasy—a tribute to the popular video game series—and his sophomore album, He Poos Clouds, garnered him the inaugural Polaris Music Prize in 2006. His new album, Heartland, will be out in January. Here, Pallett shares his Top 10 of 2009 list.
