’Tis the holiday season and here at FILTER we believe in giving gifts that keep on giving. So in the spirit of the holidays, throughout December we’ll be posting our Good Gift Guide ideas for your picky loved ones.

This year, we were once again lucky enough to take a peek into the staff picks of some great independent video stores and pick the brains’ of a number of inspired filmmakers—Greg Mottola, Julian Schnabel, Mike Mills, Gus Van Sant and David Cronenberg, just to name a few. Needless to say, we know a thing or two about the moving pictures. With the holidays upon us, we have taken the liberty of rounding up a list of titles that will not disappoint the cinephile in your life.
