FILTER Five: Our Top 5 Anticipated Coachella Performances
By Staff on March 30, 2011
Ladies and gentlemen, we are on the brink. Yes, it's nearly that time: FESTIVAL SEASON 2011. There are dozens and dozens of festivals Stateside and abroad all year, but we like to think it all starts in April out at the Empire Polo Fields. The incredibly sold-out affair in Indio this year kicks off on April 15 and lasts through April 17—until your sweat reserves have exhausted themselves and you've regained consciousness once again. In giddy anticipation, we polled the FILTER ranks for our personal picks for most anticipated Coachella performances. Check them out and video proof below. See you in the desert!
Suede (aka The London Suede)
Why: One word: Reunion. No one does it better than Coachella (ain't that the truth) and this will be Suede's first performance in the U.S. since 1997.
Why: The desert heat + trippy Animal Collectiveness = :)
Arcade Fire (who?!)
Why: You kind of have to, for Lady Gaga's sake.
Why: She is always amazing live, and her newest record, Let England Shake, might be her all-time best.
Death From Above 1979
Why: The likelihood of a pure, ecstatic brain explosion en masse is looking like "fuck yeah."
