FILTER 54: “Pixies: Into The White” Out 11/15/13!

Over our decade-plus in print, we have been thrilled to work with some of the world’s most talented visual artists and designers on the front covers of FILTER.

Now, with the “Pixies: Into the White” issue we are honored to feature the legendary art director and designer Vaughan Oliver’s work on FILTER’s cover. Even if you’re not familiar with his name, we guarantee you’re already a fan—his extensive work for 4AD in the ’80s and ’90s has become as iconic and tangible as the music beneath the album covers he designed, not to mention his four-decade relationship with the Pixies themselves (starting with 1987’s Come On Pilgrim). Today, his art continues to visually represent bands and artists as varied and venerable as David Lynch, The Mountain Goats, The Breeders, TV on the Radio, Scott Walker and more.

After all, the work speaks for itself…

Pick up the brand-new issue of FILTER magazine at newsstands, Barnes & Noble bookstores and digitally in the Apple iTunes and Google Play stores starting November 15, 2013.
