FESTIVAL WATCH: Kraftwerk Brings 3-D Visuals To Iceland Airwaves
By Staff on March 11, 2013
In late February, round two of the 2013 Iceland Airwaves roster was revealed, announcing the addition of several more popular outfits—such as METZ and múm—who will rock Reykjavík come October.
Today, it was announced that Kraftwerk—FILTER's favorite krautrock quartet dating back to 1970—will close the festival, on Sunday, November 3, in serious style: electric 3-D visuals à la their "Catalogue 12345678," performed last month at London's Tate Modern.
Check out a clip of what's in store at Reykjavík, and once your mind has officially been blown, click here for more ticket information. Interested in going for free, with airfare included? Win a free round-trip for two!
If you're in Austin for SXSW, come to our Showdown at Cedar Street later this week, from March 13-16. We'll be partying and eating free BBQ with Iceland Airwaves on Thursday, March 14, during the Paradigm Showcase!
