Discover The Undiscovered: Turf War!
By Staff on April 4, 2011
Meet our new Discover The Undiscovered band for April, Turf War! Known for rowdy shows and catchy rock songs, TW was started by lead singer John Robinson as a solo project that quickly turned into a full band. Brian McGath(drums, vox), Cecil Moss(guitars, vox) and Bradley Morris(bass, vox) came in and brought the extra touch needed. The band started off their days as an Augusta, GA band but saw more opportunities in Atlanta. After Moving to Atlanta they began working with Ian St. Pe' from the Black Lips as Producer and completed an 11 song album together.
Now that they’ve returned from SXSW, TW are on the hunt for a record label and we hope that they find a good home for their promising new release.

I would say our influences are Creedence, Springsteen, Nirvana, Replacements as well as old garage rock and 70s and 80s punk rock
What is your biggest achievement as a band to date?
Our biggest achievement to us is finishing an album moving to Atlanta and playing SXSW. Sorry that's three things
Where did the band name originate?
The band name was my solo project that turned into our band. I just wanted something tough sounding. Dangerous.
All my favorites are listed above. We like the black lips......we rock out to Sonic Youth, The Clash, Neil Young,
Plans to Tour?
We are planning to tour this summer.
Plans for next release?
Well like I was saying we recorded a full length this year that ian st pe from the black lips produced. The record is finished. We are just looking for a label at the moment..any takers? We work real real hard. Harder than a mothafucka.
