BLOG: We’ll Miss The Island

Tomorrow marks a sad, yet exciting day in the eyes of LOST viewers. The enigmatic, sometimes frustratingly cryptic Island drama begins it's 6th and final season. It's a bittersweet event, because while some of the burning questions can FINALLY be answered (really, where IS Claire?), the adventure will soon be over. To me, LOST is the first show that I honestly can't imagine watching without the internet. Never before has a show been so convoluted that it actually requires recap reading and possible re-watches. Not to mention the counterculture (read: widespread nerdery) that it's inspired: cast blogs, late night spoofs, and even a LOST recap tribute band, cleverly named Previously: On LOST.
So, Freckles, as we gear up for the finale of TV's most exciting and confusing show, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite online LOST destinations, to perhaps assist as you say goodbye to Hurley, Kate, Sawyer, and the gang.
The Ack Attack. Perhaps my favorite. No, this won't draw any conclusions for you, but her frame-by-frame recaps of the show add a hilarious new twist. You'll never look at Jack the same.
Pop Candy. Blogger Whitney Matheson is a huge LOST devotee, and so are her loyal readers. Check back after the show, or sometimes throughout, for some of the most interesting and insightful comments on the show around.
Entertainment Weekly's Totally LOST. EW's Jeff Jensen recaps each show in his vlog with fellow writer Dan Snierson. Sometimes, they feature guests, such as show creators Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse. A vast resource for anyone looking to navigate the island.
