FILTER likes music. There's no hiding it. We also like our own opinions a whole bunch, so once a week we give the masses a fleeting glimpse into our selective stereos and Internet browsers to let them see firsthand what fuels our endless devotion. We like to think of it as community service. We're selfless like that. So without further ado, here are the official, inarguable, objectively good FILTER Weekly Picks—providing everything from new LPs you should be spinning to the latest good-fer-you videos. LOOK: Harmony Korine’s Latest Drama, ‘Spring Breakers,’ Shows A Sinister Side Of Vacationing

We're not sure what Harmony Korine's middle name is, but we bet it's synonymous with "mind-boggling" and "eye-opening," because both of those terms can be used to define his films.

Though Spring Breakers doesn't hit theaters nationwide until Friday, March 29, its two-minute trailer—opening with the line, "Rise and shine, little bitch," directed towards sleepyhead and Disney superstar, Selena Gomez—proves this will be one delightful disaster of a spring break.

LOOK: The Postal Service’s Website Tempts Us With A Reunion

The Postal Service, Los Angeles' electro-indie-pop duo consisting of Ben Gibbard (Death Cab For Cutie) and Jimmy Tamborello (Dntel), exploded after the 2003 release of their debut album Give Up. The aptly titled album full of depressing, yet hopeful tracks seeped its way into popular culture when Give Up's hit single "Such Great Heights" was featured in Zach Braff's directoral debut Garden State.

After Give Up, The Postal Service began working on their sophomore release, but it never came together leaving the world to wonder what could have been. That was until this morning, when their official website featured a new graphic that only states: "The Postal Service -- 2013." Does this mean that the two will finally release their second album? Or will they just embark on a massive tour in honor of the 10th Anniversary of Give Up?

No one knows as of yet, but it definitely has started the music world buzzing again.

This past Wednesday we teamed up with Dr. Martens to help their newest retail shop (in Union Square) off to a great start with a "small" shindig. School of Seven Bells brought the house down--thankfully not literally--with great dj sets and an amazing live show. Everyone who joined us ate (delicious White Castle Sliders and adorable Dr. Martens cookies from Casue Sweets), drank (courtesy of Goose Island and AQUAHydrate) and were most certainly merry!

We'd like to thank all of our awesome sponsors and the great city of New York for coming out and supporting us. You can check out photos from our packed event on our Tumblr!

English superstars Muse will be performing in Portland, Oregon on the last day of this month at the Rose Garden. Getting a pair of free tickets would be awesome, yes, but getting to play around with them on a "football pitch" beforehand? Priceless (Sorry Billy Crudup and Mastercard).

LOOK: Myspace Unveils Music-centric Redesign

We had a chance to check out the new Myspace today, and let us assure you, this is not even close to the old Myspace experience. The new Myspace is a complete relaunch, you even have to create a new account (of course, you can login through your other socials as well). This newest incarnation of the original social media behemoth is much more music-centric, coinciding with the release of (co-owner) Justin Timberlake's newest surprise single.

Working at a music magazine is tough work, but the perks are always worth it. This week we caught Big Boi's performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live as well as Los Angeles' own He's My Brother She's My Sister at Hotel Cafe. An interesting pairing yes, but that's what makes our jobs the best!

LOOK: Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds Announce ‘Push The Sky Away’ Special Launch Event Shows In February

When Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds released the lyric video for "Jubilee Street," we wanted to be wrapped up in those six minutes and thirty-eight seconds for eternity; we were completely transfixed by Cave's vocals, those sorrowful strings, and the delicate shakes of that tambourine. One of our interns nearly cried in traffic, when the track aired on KCRW's "Morning Becomes Eclectic."

The song is that moving, and their March tour just can't come soon enough. The band clearly shares this same thought, because they have just announced four shows, spread all over the globe, between February 10 through February 21.
