WATCH: Widowspeak Performs An Intimate Version Of “Almanac” and “Ballad of the Golden Hour”
By Staff on March 12, 2013
Although Widowspeak's sophomore album Almanac was released a couple of months ago, we just got around to reviewing it and we really liked it. We just can't get enough of the Brooklyn-via-Pacific Northwest band. In their latest video, the band gives an intimate studio performance of "Almanac," the instrumental title track, and "Ballad of the Golden Hour."
Before the performance begins, Molly Hamilton and Robert Earl Thomas give a short and sweet interview about their sound and influences. As soon as the music starts, Hamilton's large, doe eyes glance over at the viewer as her light vocals float into your ears. The track is worthy of toe-taping and head-bobbing, as shown by all the band members bouncing along.
Widowspeak has also announced new tour dates after SXSW! After watching the video, scroll down some more to see the dates.
