If you have yet to see Long Beach's Tijuana Panthers live, check out the two-minute exclusive performance of their surf rock hit, "Tony's Song," located below. This clip tells the tale of the unfortunate Tony, who can't seem to get over the loss of his girl. Don't feel bad though; apparently, he could have been playing alongside the rest of TP, according to these lyrics: "you should have stuck it out with the band / one day we were playing, you were holding hands."
This performance proves that Tijuana Panthers are one of the most spirited and entertaining trios around. Watch as this black-and-white video, filmed in a quaint room decorated with antlers and horns, is instantly colored by a flurry of cymbals and a voice as smooth and rich as the highest of cocoa percentages. Check out the smoking cowboy cameo too—is that you, young Clint Eastwood?
