Brooklyn-based band (by ways of Venice) This Is The Now and FILTER join forces to premiere a new video for the band's debut single "Famous For Nothing." The video is animated and was created by the acclaimed visual artist Michael Arthur who's made videos for Josh Ritter, Yellowbirds, Balthrop, AL and more.
The garage band is originally from Venice and now based in Brooklyn, and their exposure to both progressive environment seem to have definitely influenced This Is The Now's aesthetic. "Famous For Nothing" takes on a pseudo Lou Reed, Silver Jews and Pavement inspired musical view on the contemporary celebrity driven society. Deep stuff! Watch the video below.
Find the upcoming debut EP 'Titan' in the early winter 2012.
