Earlier this fall Chapel Hill, North Carolina's legendary indie-noise band Polvo, released their first new LP, Siberia, in four years. Today, after having a couple of months to fully digest the album, we're thrilled to premiere the official video for "Light, Raking" that you can check out above.
Created and directed by Jason Sievers, the video takes the band's infectious post-rock sound--dense with knots of sonic layers of guitar riffs and fuzz--and unravels it in the form of a metaphorical ball of yarn. It rolls around creating intricate designs and bursts into strands of color with each build of the song. The video for "Light, Raking" presents the track in a new--playful and adventurous--light.
Find out exactly where the yarn goes by watching the video above and if you haven't already, be sure to pick up Polvo's Siberia, out now via Merge Records!
