WATCH: Midlake Shares “Aurora Gone” Video Featuring Clips from Concert Film (FILTER Premiere)

By Staff on June 17, 2014

It feels like just yesterday that Texas quintet Midlake released their fourth album, Antiphon, and delivered a savory collection of harmonious melodies. Today, FILTER is thrilled to premiere the band's new video for their song "Aurora Gone," featuring clips from the upcoming concert film Midlake: Live in Denton, TX.

Actor Jason Lee and director Eric Noren, both of whom produced and directed the concert documentary, created the near-five-minute music video that spans through images of Midlake's Denton hometown. From fading family-owned business signs to clips of the band playing darts at a local bar (perhaps enjoying a few old-fashioneds?), the video is a humble and intimate tribute to a place that is clearly near and dear to the heart of Midlake.

The "Aurora Gone" video is available for download today via iTunes E-book. Midlake: Live in Denton, TX will premiere at the legendary Glastonbury Festival of Contemporary Performing Arts on June 26 and will be available worldwide this fall.
