WATCH: Local Natives Partake In Suspicious Activity, In Style, For “Breakers” Video
By Staff on November 28, 2012
Halloween and Columbus Day might have been the holiday highlights of October. Not for FILTER.
It was just last month that our entire staff was stoked to hear Local Natives' new song, "Breakers": the fifth track off the band's upoming follow-up to 2010's Gorilla Manor, a sophomore LP entitled Hummingbird (January 29 via Frenchkiss).
Now, we have some visuals to go along with the song, whose video premiered via Pitchfork yesterday. Click play, below, for four minutes of inexplicable awesomeness—on the beach, in the wilderness, in the pool, rolling down the stairs, stumbling, jamming, men in spacesuits eating food, dudes in masks. You might not understand it, either, but you'll certainly play it twice.
