WATCH: Jamaican Queens Add Personal Detroit Danger To “Kids Get Away” Video

Jamaican Queens might be the most deceiving moniker we've encountered in a while. This group actually consists of two guys from Detroit (formerly members of Prussia), who bring the city's edge to their latest song, "Kids Get Away," and its accompanying video.

The video begins in a quaint diner, where both coffee refills and smiles from the pretty employee are abundant. Just when you've pegged the mustached and spectacled loner customer as the dude ready for his mugshot debut, keep watching.

This is one gripping story chronicling a violent assault against a woman in southwest Detroit. The trippy collaboration of upbeat guitar and synth provides some bone-chilling beats alongside Ryan Spencer's expressive, shrieking vocals and creepy lyrics.

Their debut record, Wormfood, will be released March 5. More album details and tour dates are available after the video.
