WATCH: Father John Misty Takes Us On A Not-So-Glamorous Tour Of Hollywood In “Funtimes In Babylon”

By Staff on June 5, 2013

Since the release of Fear Fun last year, we've only imagined the visuals that could go along with the poignant and intentionally lackadaisical, gloomy opener, "Funtimes In Babylon."

Today, Father John Misty unveils the video for this track, co-directed by Grant James (director of "This Is Sally Hatchet") and the FJM frontman himself.

The always-dapper Josh Tillman seems a touch overdressed for the occasion, as he passes by heap upon heap of unworkable machinery and smashed up homes. Does he "ride around the wreckage on a horse knee-deep in blood"? You'll just have to click above to find out.

We will tell you one thing though: "Look out, Hollywood. Here I come," has never sounded so disheartening.
