Earlier this month, Conor Oberst released his latest solo album, Upside Down Mountain. From it comes the standout track, "Zigzagging Toward The Light," which now has an accompanying video to bring the number to life.
The year is 2024, at least, that's what it is in the David Altobelli-directed video that is set in a dystopian future. A voice interviews Oberst in an office as an omnipresent camera records him. As he looks back on memories that preceded some catastrophic black-out event, Oberst is taken back to (our) present day Manhattan where he walks the streets, singing into a recorder.
You'll find "Zigzagging Toward The Light" on his latest album, Upside Down Mountain, available now on Nonesuch Records.
