WATCH: Beach House Releases Dark, Gritty New “Wild” Video
By Staff on November 14, 2012
Baltimore dream-pop stalwarts Beach House have released their video for “Wild” today. “Wild” comes off of this past summer’s elegantly crafted Bloom and like many of the album’s tracks, refines the misty psychedelia that fans wholeheartedly embraced on Teen Dream to forge a more mature aesthetic.
Johan Renck, who occasionally lends his cinematic talents to AMC's Breaking Bad and The Walking Dead, directs the gritty noir drama. The video follows several loose narrative threads portraying lonely junkie types dealing with diffused emotional issues—often breaking out into anger or violence—which pairs perfectly with Beach House’s lush, atmospheric intensity.
Beach House is currently on the road throughout Europe in support of Bloom and will be taking to Asia, Australia and England later this winter.
Enjoy the grimy, tobacco-saturated video below.
