The Submarines, Birds (FILTER Premiere)

Los Angeles' indie-pop duo The Submarines will be returning with their highly anticipated third full-length album, Love Notes/Letter Bombs, this April. To get you nice and jazzed up about it, they decided to give you a taste of the new record!

"Birds" is a laid back but upbeat tune that combines whirley and echoing guitar parts with twinkling pianos while everything is kept in forward motion by the live drums courtesy of Spoon's Jim Eno and the perfect vocal pairing of John Dragonetti and Blake Hazard.

Listen to this plucky tune and try NOT to get the chorus stuck in your head.

"Birds" will appear on The Submarines' forthcoming album, Love Notes/Letter Bombs, which drops (see what I did there?) April 5th via Nettwerk Records.

You can listen to new tunes alongside old ones when The Submarines perform at this year’s South by Southwest! Stay tuned for more details on that.
