THE DEEP END: Man Man’s Honus Honus Stops By Our Sandy Shores To Perform “Deep Cover” On The Ukulele
By Staff on September 6, 2013
Here at FILTER, we are stoked to announce the premiere of our brand-new, ongoing series The Deep End, where we invite our favorite artists to come hangout on our sandy shores, chat and play a tune or two. Not only does it give you a chance to check out some amazing artists, new and old (and on the beach!), but also to kickback, relax and listen up to some truly awesome, laidback performances.
For our first edition, we were honored to have Honus Honus of Philly’s Man Man stop by. We’ve been spending a lot of time talking with Man Man about their upcoming album, On Oni Pond, and Honus was kind enough to get intimate and strum a quiet little ballad off the new record called “Deep Cover,” which definitely steers away from the band’s traditional, high-energy rock. And if those uke skills make you more than a little jealous, keep alert for a chance to win Honus' ukulele signed by the man himself.
Be sure to check out Man Man’s new album On Oni Pond, out next week on September 10 via Anti-.
