Back in September, Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan announced the ambitious 44-song album project called Teargarden by Kaleidyscope, which will trickle out online song-by-song and eventually become a series of EPs and a box set. The first track on the album, "A Song for a Son" is now available, courtesy of Spinner.
To further explain the song and the meaning behind it, Corgan said, "I think it's got something to do about not having any kids and thinking about why I don't have any kids. And then also kind of thinking about my relationship with my father-- there's some kind of connection there, but it's not overt. I didn't set out to write that, it just rolled out of me."
