Nada Surf's covers album, if i had a hifi, will be available June 8 via their own label Madev Records. if i had a hi-fi is full of inspired, unexpected choices: such as the under-documented Bill Fox's "Electrocution," which they've offered as a free download below. The as yet little known Fox, of Cleveland cult band The Mice, inspired local groups like Guided by Voices and Death of Samantha. Doug Gillard, who was in both bands, lends his highly evolved guitar skills to "Electrocution" as well as the Dwight Twilley and Go-Betweens songs.
