MP3: The Parlotones Advise That You “Save Your Best Bits” (FILTER Premiere)

South Africa's beloved indie rock band, The Parlotones, are pleased to announce the release of their fifth studio album, Journey Through the Shadows, on May 8th via Sovereign Entertainment USA. Recorded in Johannesburg and Cape Town during the final months of 2011, the new album includes 11 brand new tracks of their undeniable romantic and anthemic rock sound, while offering several surprises along the way. The band has also unleashed the first single off the record, entitled "Save Your Best Bits" and can be downloaded below.
The band will are headed over to the U.S. starting with a stop at SXSW in Austin before launching a 27-city tour of the U.S. kicking off on May 17 at the Roxy in Los Angeles. Make sure to keep an eye out for The Parlotones at a venue near you!
As though the news on the new album and the brand new track download weren't enough, The Parlotones have also shared some news on their continued philanthropic goals in their home country. In early March, all four members of the The Parlotones will be joining celebrities, government officials, civilians and media from 54 African countries to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in an effort to bring awareness to the Africa-UNiTE campaign raising global awareness to end violence against women and children in Africa.
