While neighborhood Anglophiles may already know the joy that is Tall Ships, we have the distinct pleasure of premiering the debut track for U.S. audiences from the U.K.-based trio as they gear up for their very first stateside trek. Recently appearing on the band's self-titled 7", the track "Hit The Floor" showcases cutting, angular guitars and a propulsive rhythm that builds until you feel you just might burst. In only three and a half minutes, it's easy to imagine how the band cultivated a reputation for boisterous live shows. The song is smart and sharp yet party-ready enough for you to grab a drink and, well, hit the floor.
New Yorkers, take a shot of whiskey and join us at the band's inaugural U.S. appearances at CMJ this month. Stay tuned for developments as they prep their forthcoming debut full-length.
