Naytronix is the new project from the tUnE-yArDs' bassist-turned-solo artist Nate Brenner. He'll be releasing his debut LP, Dirty Glow, on October 9 via Plug Research.
Brenner, who is also a multi-instrumentalist and producer, is fascinated by the future. And this is never more clear than when listening to the danceable track, "Robotic," the first single from his forthcoming album. We have this futuristic song as a FILTER Premiere below.
For his solo work, Brenner experiments by blending musical sounds with the non-musical. In a world where nature meets man meets technology, this has never been more relevant. How can we blend all three rather than allowing one to rule over all? And this is exactly what Brenner has created: a record where his fascination with technology produces a sound that mimics nature.
“I envisioned the album to be a summertime record," said Brenner. "Over the last three years I’ve spent a lot of time in a van, being on tour with tUnE-yArDs so I think I just wanted to make a record that would sound good from beginning to end while cruising down a highway and hold the listener’s interest the whole time.”
