After taking off your headphones, do you ever touch your face, only to find a single teardrop slowly sliding down your cheek? That's when you realize you just listened to a good song; a track that is semi-intrusive, in the sense that it weasels its way into your heart.
If you have yet to feel this way, listen to Beach Day's newest song, "Walking on the Streets," the title track off their 7" available tomorrow, November 14 (Kanine Records), via digital download and limited edition blue vinyl.
Walking on the Streets" is nearly four minutes of gorgeous surf and garage rock, complete with tambourine bashing, sentimental keys, jangly guitar, and rich vocals all about lust and longing. It captures the sincerity of the '60s, while ringing ever so true today.
This killer trio from Hollywood, Florida—who all work at the mysteriously located Smoothie Palace—are set to release their next single in February. Do yourself a favor and let "Walking on the Streets" keep you company for now.
