When you have origins in Los Angeles, it's easy to be inspired by the laid-back, sun-kissed lifestyle that represents the city. The dream pop quintet, Young Hunting, has definitely drawn inspiration from their hometown, but adds a greater depth of emotion by also drawing from their particular life experiences.
This harmonious balance is heard on their track, "Wrecking Ball"—a song we are stoked to premiere—which both empathizes with, and, most importantly, soothes the soul.
"Wrecking Ball" is a soft, melodic ballad that captures the agonies of love. It is mellow in essence, and reminiscent of moments we long to get back yet also desire to keep forgotten.
It feels calm at times, only to be crushed with a force of emotion in that swinging way of a wrecking ball itself. Mostly, it captivates and consumes with light, dreamy sounds and lyrics that reflect a similar sentiment.
Don't waste any more time—listen to this beauty for yourself! For more original tunes by YH, mark up June 11 on your calendar: the release date of LP, Hazel, out via Gold Robot Records!
