LISTEN: Widowspeak Drag Us Back To “The Dark Age,” Which Is Now Anything But Bleak

By Staff; Photo by Andrew Smith on December 12, 2012

Now a four-piece, Brooklyn indie rock outfit, Widowspeak, is on the verge of releasing the follow-up LP to their self-titled record, released just last year.

Almanac hits the streets on January 22 via Captured Tracks, but for now, check out the album's second single below.

"The Dark Age" is almost four minutes of varied drumming and sparkling, tough guitars carried by Molly Hamilton's chilled-out and slightly breathy vocals, like some sort of drawn-out secret.

This is quintessential rainy day rock. What more could you ask for right now?
