Grab your dancing shoes because NYC's self-described "anxiety pop" group, Wet Leather, will get you on your feet and on the dancefloor. Their latest single, "Secret Preference," is an undeniably catchy track that combines the cold and calculated sound of a drum machine with the visceral grooves of heavy bass lines and a willing falsetto.
With "Secret Preference" harkening back to the carefree days where '80s synth-pop ruled the airwaves, it's clear that the Matt Bernstein-fronted quintet has created a serious jam that's breezy enough to fit into your essential summer playlist.
Press play below and get acquainted with Wet Leather. Be sure to look out for their debut full length later this summer and if you happen to be in the New York area, they'll be playing a show at Baby's All Right in Brooklyn on May 19th so be there or be square!
