When a duo can come together and find a mutual affinity for rolexes and ashtanga yoga over absinthe spritzers and make music, we can't help but be curious to what will come out when you put the two in a studio. With LA electro-pop duo Motion CNTRL composed of singer/songwriter Allyce and singer/producer LHMV, we can get an exact idea of what that sounds like in their newest free mix tape SELEX2.
We can't really put a finger on where rolexes and ashtanga yoga works as an influence in the 20 minute mix tape, but we definitely hear their 80's pop influence that makes its way throughout the entire set that includes a plethora of classic 80's synth affinities and slapping beats mixed in with Motion CNTRL's modern electro-pop sound.
Make sure to listen to SELEX2 below via Motion CNTRL's Soundcloud, where you can download it for free!
