LISTEN: Local Natives Release New Song, Announce Album Release & Tour Dates

It's a good day to be a Local Natives fan. After releasing one of 2010's best albums, Gorilla Manor, the Los Angeles natives toured nonstop, including opening for bands like Arcade Fire and The National.

And after staying silent for a good year, Local Natives headlined a CMJ showcase last night. And if that isn't enough, they have now officially announced the release of their sophomore album, Hummingbird, which will be released on January 29 via Frenchkiss Records/Infectious Music.

Local Natives have also released the first single from this highly-anticipated album, which was produced by The National's Aaron Dessner. "Breakers" proves that their time spent recording and experimenting in a shack in Silverlake was not wasted. The band had embraced the harmonies they are so known for, while also honing in on various new sounds.

The band will also tour in early 2013. The North American dates begin in Los Angeles on January 29. Tickets for the upcoming tour will be available at 10 a.m. PST on October 26 via Ticketmaster. All dates are available below.
