LISTEN: Chalk And Numbers Mixes Mod With Modern In “Boy”

Brooklyn's Chalk and Numbers features the pairing of Sable Yong and Andrew Pierce, and together, their music is so absolutely, perfectly charming. Reminiscent of popular girl groups of the 60's (think The Supremes or The Shangri-Las), the duo draws influence from the past and present.  They sure do remind us of a certain other girl-boy pairing. "Boy," the first single off their upcoming Parade EP, is a perfect example of how retro meets modern to create a catchy and playful jingle.

Parade comes out on March 12th and if you just can't get enough, a full length album is promised to be released very soon afterwards. Don't be surprised if your toes start tapping and your head starts swaying rhythmically side to side when you're tuned in to Chalk and Numbers. Listen to "Boy" below, but be warned -- you might want to schedule a visit to the dentist soon because this song is just that sugary sweet.
