As we announced earlier this week, a new artist called Brim Liski is being introduced this Fall from the same label & studio who brought us the dark but dreamy sounds of A Shoreline Dream. Self-described as "electrogaze dreamhop," Brim Liski emerged organically from the long-distance friendship and collaboration between various (re: unnamed) producers in the U.S. and The Netherlands and have put together a self-titled EP for digital release next month. That's not a lot to go off of, is it? Lucky for you, we've got a free MP3 for you to sample from the EP to give your earbuds a taste before release.
At first listen, it's easy to hear equal parts shoegaze and electronic influences, calling to mind an icy musical child from acts like Depeche Mode & Massive Attack. Imagine a treacherous night trek through an arctic setting, then soundtrack it with these four minutes. It's dark. It's atmospheric. It's beautiful. Listen for yourself below and check out Brim Liski EP digitally November 10th courtesy of Latenight Weeknight Records.
