Scott Pilgrim vs. the World arguably compiled the most compelling original soundtrack and score of the year, combining the forces of Nigel Godrich, Beck, Broken Social Scene, Metric and more to create memorable tracks that truly stand alone from their film counterpart. And luckily for music fans, the hits just keep coming from the Scott Pilgrim team. The film & comic's accompanying videogame (which launched this month on the PlayStation Network and will debut on Xbox LIVE Arcade tomorrow) also saw the grade-A soundtrack treatment. Helming all 24 tracks was Brooklyn-based 8-bit rock band, Anamanaguchi.
Using raw guitars and thrashing drums alongside a digital landscape of classic NES sounds, Anamanaguchi has created a driving soundtrack to embody all the digital action. Listen in to this exclusive FILTER premiere for track 19 of 24, "Party Stronger."
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game (Original Videogame Soundtrack) is out today (grab it here on iTunes) via ABKCO Records.
